Business Women Connect launches ready for St Davids Day
Over the past 18 months I have been working closely with over a 100 local likeminded business women. I saw an opportunity to connect and meet as a team each month in different venues across Penarth and so launched Business Women Penarth. Originally set up as an inspirational forum, we now make it our business to promote, help, support, connect and inspire others as well as basically having a great deal of fun!
After talking to a few local businesses in Penarth, who at the time all seemed to be women, I noticed that we had something in common, that we were busy enjoying building our businesses but had similar challenges. It was evident we didn’t seem to have a team to share ideas with or discuss openly the business challenges we faced. Hence the decision I took to start a local business women’s network. This all started way back in October 2014 and now…
Business Women Penarth is one of 5 hubs (Penarth, Cowbridge, Roath, Rhiwbina & Barry) and with my business partner Sarah Thompson we have co founded Business Women Connect. This will be a interactive members website to share ideas, connect with other businesses, read profiles about our entrepreneurial guest speakers and provide a what’s on guide for our events, business workshops and conferences.
I am certainly a woman on a mission and one of my goals is to help business women reach their full potential! My passion and dedication to business women in particular is a very focused one! I love to help connect lots of like minded people what ever their age or stage they are at in business. We need to team up, share ideas, engage with our future generation and create a hub of activity and a springboard to encourage more women to start their own businesses.
Just as important, I am honoured to be well connected with local businessmen, those who particularly support our ideas and are keen to be regular guest speakers at our monthly meetings.
